Proposal

Dear Mr. Crerar,

Imagine you’re a tiny kid aged six, your home country has been invaded by a colossal army of men hunting down citizens… and their target was YOU. You had no money, no food and nowhere to sleep throughout the chilly nights while on the run. What are you to do? Well, it was Nicholas Winton’s goal to give these types of kids the freedom they deserved. He set hundreds of children free from the cruel grasp of the Nazis unforgiving hand. He became an associate of The British Committee for Refugees from Czechoslovakia (BCRC). Plus, tried his very hardest to raise money and find foster homes to bring as many children as possible to safety where they could finally live-in peace.

First and foremost, Nicholas Winton rescued approximately 669 children (mostly Jewish) from certain death from the Nazis by organizing an operation that bought innocent but targeted children safely into England where they would no longer be unprotected. The rescue took a whole year to plan which shows that he really wanted to help those vulnerable kids. He risked his own life to give all of those kids a proper one. One night he even stayed up to write down the names, photos and other details of many of the children on the run from the Nazis. He did this so that the children could be escorted safely to England. This means that he worked tirelessly to get as many kids to safely as possible. Thankfully, Nicholas got the operation to succeed and get out alive and well.

Furthermore, even after he had helped hundreds of children out of Czechoslovakia to have a better life… he still pushed. He tried his very best to raise money so that the targeted kids could have food and roofs over their heads so that they could grow up to have a better future. This is why some of the Jewish people are living successfully in the world today. This is of the upmost importance for Nicholas has given hundreds of people the chance to live a good life.

In addition, Nicholas became an associate with The British Committee for Refugees from Czechoslovakia (BCRC). The BCRC was a voluntary charitable organization responsible for refugees’. To be part of the BCRC was a sign that Nicholas was trying his best to give refugees’ a better lifestyle. He tried his hardest in life to give people the home they deserved. This is important because he became a part of a crew that supported him with his beliefs of setting innocent children free.

In conclusion, Sir Nicholas Winton is most definitely a notable person because he rescued children that now have a real life in society today, he helped those innocent children on their path of life by giving them the essentials for a healthy lifestyle and he supported associations that helped children that were trapped in the grasp of the Nazis’.

A man that saved hundreds of lives, a man that helped hundreds of children, a man that deserves to be a notable person.

Yours Sincerely,

Oliver Pham
